Do you have office hours especially for teenagers?
When should I schedule my first appointment?
We recommend that young women undergo their first gynecologic exam at age 12 or when they become sexually active or have questions about contraception or STDs. We welcome referrals from pediatricians who feel their patients have special needs requiring our services. Dr. Stein has a special interest in adolescent gynecology.
Is my medical information released to my parents?
There are many laws that dictate the release of your medical information to your parents. We treat your information completely private except where the law requires that we disclose information to your parents. If you are concerned about particular information, you may inquire about the laws that may affect its release at the time of service.
Do you have office hours especially for teenagers?
We are in the process of designing a program specifically for teens. We anticipate rolling out the program in spring of 2004. In the meantime, you may request that your appointment be with Dr. Stein, who has a special interest in adolescent gynecology.
